The parent company is American located in Minneapolis. Innovex (Thailand ) is located in the Northern Region Industrial Estate in Lamphun province.
Report to: Director, Engineering
Job Summary: To provide process engineering support to operations and divisions in order to successfully launch new products and improve the cost structure and performance of existing product platforms.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the Surface Finishing Process Engineering group to achieve new levels of performance in quality (yields, process stability & predictability), cost, and delivery.
- Hands-on involvement and coaching in order to create a more positive and effective volume-manufacturing culture of continuous improvement.
- Project management and leadership involving the design, documentation, procurement, and successful introduction into volume-production of new or improved chemical process equipment and methods.
- Obtain solutions to technical problems related to the surface finishing processes used to manufacture flexible printed circuits.
- Act as a technical knowledge resource for surface finishing operations.
- Successfully mange project costs, maintain accurate records, and document design and development steps.
- Ensure commonality of process between volume-production site in Thailand and prototyping facility in the U.S..
- Maintain knowledge of the state of the art in the field of flex circuit surface finishing.
- Assure equipment and processes meet safety, quality, and reliability standards.
- Develop and maintain close working relationships with internal and external customers.
- Conduct regular reviews to communicate progress and assure necessary milestones are met as scheduled.
- Direct an overall project or program, or work on a portion of a project as a specialist in a particular area.
Requirements:
- B.S. degree in an engineering field (mechanical or chemical preferred).
- Minimum 5 – 10 years experience building & leading successful engineering teams.
- Minimum 10 years experience with the chemical processes used to manufacture flexible printed circuits.
- Minimum 5 years experience in printed circuit machine design, controls and systems integration.
- Minimum 5 years experience working with chemistry suppliers and chemical process equipment manufacturers.
- Hands-on leader, willing to spend significant time on the production floor creating a positive culture and ensuring solutions are effectively implemented.
- Demonstrated experience building effective engineering teams with good cross-functional relationships with manufacturing and design engineering.
- Familiarity and experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma desired.
- Proven experience developing equipment specifications and budgets.
- Familiarity with Minitab, or other statistical software, desired.
- Skilled in statistical methods and able to communicate accurately and clearly using statistical data and analysis.
- Good working knowledge of Reliability Engineering a plus.
- Excellent project management and leadership skills required.
- Demonstrated leadership in successfully introducing new processes that significantly improve product cost structure and performance.
- Passion for continuous improvement and for finding better ways of doing things.
- Ability to see and develop an overall vision for implementing continuous process improvements.
- Creative, team-oriented individual with strong work ethic and self-management skills.
- Proven ability to work across multiple engineering disciplines.
- Position is in Lamphun, Thailand, and requires the ability to travel to other Innovex manufacturing sites in Minnesota, U.S.A..
