The bulletin of the plating chemicals always mention a ratio between anode and cathode. There are 2-to-1, 4-to-1 etc. What is this ratio going to affect the coating quality, or the stability of the solution? What will happen when the actual ratio is larger or small then the bulletin?

Thanks

 Hello

The ratio of anode to cathode is the ratio of the area of anode to cathode.

For different solutions it is different.

Nickel. Preferred ratio is 1 : 1

Cyanide gold plate using an insoluble anode . 1 : 1 and so on.

What solution do you have in mind ?

Accordingly the ratio will apply.

The correct ratio affects;

Deposit distribution

leveling and brightness

Throwing power

Even-ness of Thickness distribution.

Hope this helps.

Regards
